The Waitresses is a band from Akron, Ohio active from 1978-1983. If you weren’t around back then, you didn’t miss much with the New York Mets. Musically, you didn’t get to experience the release of “I Know What Boys Like” which is their most recognizable song.
As Mets fans, we know what each other like, and what we want at this year’s trade deadline. The Waitresses aren’t around any longer to put together a song to explain how we feel in verse. We’ll have to find another way to express our feelings to David Stearns and the ongoing Mets rumors.
