With Loss To Sacramento, Knicks Fall To League’s Worst Record

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Harrison Barnes’ best game with Sacramento helped the Kings keep pace in a crowded Western Conference as they attempt to end the NBA’s longest active playoff drought.

It also sent the New York Knicks tumbling to the league’s worst record and eliminated them from the postseason.

Barnes had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Buddy Hield scored 28 and Sacramento beat the woeful Knicks 115-108 on Monday night.

“He made some savvy plays to finish some buckets around the rim, took his time,” Kings coach Dave Joerger said about Barnes. “That’s good for us as we grow because we are a bit frantic at times with our youth.
