Why the Knicks were winners at the trade deadline

The NBA trade deadline officially came and went Thursday, and it certainly did not disappoint as there was a record amount of activity around the league, according to ESPN’s Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski:

Final tally on NBA Trade Deadline Day, per league:
— 16 Trades
— 23 teams
— 46 roster players
Most ever in each category in past 35 years on deadline day.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) March 26, 2021

Despite all these trades, the New York Knicks stayed relatively quiet during the trade deadline. They were involved in one minor three-team trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers that sent veteran point guard George Hill to Philadelphia.
