Kristaps Porzingis’ season-opening performance sparked fears of a sophomore slump. In the Knicks’ home opener, the 21-year-old showed it’s far more likely he will take a leap toward joining the league’s elite.

After struggling on both ends of the floor in a blowout loss to the Cavaliers on Tuesday, last season’s Rookie of the Year runner-up rebounded with a game-high 21 points in the Knicks’ 111-104 win over the Grizzlies on Saturday night at the Garden.

Porzingis shot 7-of-11 from the field, adding five rebounds, two assists and one block.
