HOUSTON — As we speed inevitably and inexorably toward the exit ramp, perhaps it is not such a terrible idea to remember when things around the Knicks were perfectly juxtaposed, when they were the team seeking to make a blockbuster trade, when they were the ones hoping to import an All-Star.
It is easy to remember all the other stuff that has informed Carmelo Anthony’s stay here, that has colored his time as Knick. If he makes it to Feb. 22, it will mean Melo got six years in New York, which is like 42 years anywhere else.
