What Becky Hammon wants to coach Knicks

Becky Hammon won’t come easily if the Knicks want her to be their next head coach.

The Spurs assistant coach and former New York Liberty star would be interested in moving to the Knicks sideline if team president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry should call – but only if she could land a long-term deal, according to CNBC. The belief is a four-to-five-year contract would be enough.

Recently fired coach David Fizdale received a four-year pact from the Knicks when he was hired in May 2018. The previous coach, Jeff Hornacek worked under a three-year contract.
