It was truly a game of runs. The Lakeland Magic had the upper hand for much of the game, but the pesky Westchester Knicks never went away.
The Magic were clearly the better team on Friday night. They jumped out to a 17-point lead in the first quarter, but couldn’t extend that lead any further. The two sides played back and forth basketball until Westchester embarked on a 15-0 run in under three minutes.
The second half was not the same type of see-saw affair. Lakeland slowly pulled away and took control. The score was tied at 43-43 with 1:56 left in the second quarter.
