Tim Hardaway Jr. breaks silence on Fizdale’s contract comment

Tim Hardaway Jr. responded to coach David Fizdale’s odd financial comment made Friday in which he mentioned Hardaway’s contract figures when explaining his playing rotations.

Asked if he was bothered by Fizdale mentioning his big salary in that context, Hardaway said Sunday, “No reaction to it. It’s a public thing. Everyone knows what I make. It’s a two-year deal. Nothing to worry about.”

After losing to the Nets on Friday, Fizdale explained 26-year-old Enes Kanter was out of the rotation as an impending free agent who isn’t a fleet defender while the 26-year-old Hardaway was a player who has never lost his starting job the entire season.
