Somebody thought the Knicks’ Frank Ntilikina was worthy of All-Rookie second-team honors. Of course, that solo vote didn’t mean a whole heckuva lot.
Utah forward Donovan Mitchell, the 13th pick in last June’s NBA draft, and Philadelphia guard/forward Ben Simmons, the No. 1 pick in 2016 who sat out an entire season with injury, were the unanimous selections on the 2017-18 NBA All-Rookie first team announced Tuesday.
Mitchell, born in Westchester County, and Simmons were named on all 100 ballots from an international collection of sportswriters and broadcasters.
