The Knicks signed former Florida State guard M.J. Walker

The New York Knicks made another depth signing for training camp, inking Florida State guard M.J. Walker to a deal Friday.

Walker is a four-year product of coach Leonard Hamilton’s excellent Florida State program. Like all of Hamilton’s protege’s Walker defends hard. He was named to the All-ACC second team last season, averaging 12.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

After going undrafted, Walker signed with the Knicks’ Summer League squad. He didn’t get much play behind New York’s stacked SL guard rotation, but when he did get a chance, he looked solid.
