The Knicks refused to trade Quentin Grimes this off-season. Here’s why.

Now that the dust has settled on the Knicks’ failed attempts to trade for Donovan Mitchell this summer, one thing seems certain: Utah Jazz team president Danny Ainge was willing to swing a deal that included Quentin Grimes, but New York refused to give him up.

Every other Knick, including Mitchell Robinson, Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, and even RJ Barrett were all fair game and were all mix-and-matched in potential trade packages throughout the summer.
