The Knicks have signed point guard Ramon Sessions to a one-year deal

The Knicks may have just found their veteran mentor/caddy for Frank Ntilikina. Per Shams Charania, 31-year-old free agent Ramon Sessions will sign with New York on a veteran minimum deal.

Sessions has averaged 10.6 points, 4.1 assists and 23.7 minutes per game over his 10-year NBA career. The Knicks will become his ninth NBA franchise, assuming you separate his stints with the Charlotte Bobcats (2012-2014) and Hornets (last season).

Sessions is an extremely solid pickup—a player who has generally remained solid despite a nomadic career. He also passes the ball, which is a big step up from the Knicks’ usual point guard:

On the down side, Sessions missed the last 32 games of the 2016-17 season with a torn meniscus.
