Suddenly the Knicks’ Kevin Knox pick looks even better

Knicks fans should be thrilled the organization’s higher-ups didn’t listen to them.

On draft night, they were chanting for the Knicks to draft Michael Porter Jr., who was at one point considered the top prospect in his class before dealing with health concerns over his bad back.

Instead, the Knicks took Kentucky wing Kevin Knox with the ninth-overall selection, with Porter falling all the way to No. 14. While Knox was one of the stars of NBA Summer League, averaging 21.3 points per game, the 6-foot-10 Porter has undergone another back operation, the Nuggets announced Thursday.
