The New York Knicks dropped their home opener, 111-107, to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. A big part of New York falling to 0-2 on the season was the performance of Tobias Harris.

Harris, a Long Island native, scored 31 points on 13-of-24 shooting. He made 5 of his 6 fourth quarter shots and scored 12 points in the final period. Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy was surprised at how the Knicks guarded his star wing player.

The former Orlando Magic coach was surprised that the Knicks used Kristaps Porzingis on Harris.
