Sources back Derrick Rose: NBA teaches condom disposal

Two NBA sources confirmed Derrick Rose’s testimony in federal court during his civil rape trial that the league, in its rookie transitional program, teaches players “safe disposal of condoms’’ to avoid the potential of a woman self-impregnating herself.

A league source said “sexual health’’ is part of the four-day set of lectures, and the condom recommendation “is nothing untoward. It’s a common thing.’’

Knicks star power forward Kristaps Porzingis, who attended rookie orientation 14 months ago, told The Post the league was resolute in trying to protect rookies from women with bad intentions.

“They explained to us how cautious we have to be, how careful with that kind of stuff,’’ Porzingis said.
