Rookie Immanuel Quickley hits rough patch deeper in season

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has often described Immanuel Quickley as a worker and a student of the game, and a huge part of that work comes off the court, studying film. And what Quickley has seen has been the same thing that fans have seen.

The rookie exploded on the scene after being the 25th player selected, the second first-round pick for the Knicks, in the 2020 NBA Draft. But a dangerous floater, the ability to draw fouls and a veteran’s sensibility that brought him early acclaim also put him in the scouting reports of the opposition. What he has seen since is teams adjusting to his go-to moves, waiting for him to learn a counterpunch to their strategies.
