Reluctant Kristaps Porzingis isn’t thinking about this Knicks rebuild

Kristaps Porzingis is now headed back to Latvia to continue his rehab, saying Saturday he can’t focus on the Knicks’ coaching search or their rebuilding plan — just rehabbing his knee.

And Porzingis still couldn’t come close to answering when he will play his next game during a guarded 8-minute interview with Knicks beat writers before meeting with team president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry.

On Thursday, management said the franchise is undergoing “a patient” rebuilding plan and referred to having a quality product in “3-5 years.’’

Asked about that statement, Porzingis, who hasn’t made the playoffs, gave a lukewarm endorsement — if you can call it an endorsement at all.
