Raptors 100, Knicks 83: Scenes from the three-point shooting regression from hell

The New York Knicks couldn’t hit a basketball shot to save their lives on Thursday night, which is a pretty good summation of the year 2020, I suppose. To their credit, they stayed within striking of the Toronto Raptors throughout much of the game, but it’s hard to win a game when you shoot 3-36 from beyond the arc.

You read that right: 3-36. At one point, they missed 20 three-point attempts in a row. The Raptors may not be as good as in recent years, but they are plenty good enough to beat that kind of shooting.
