His seventh season is turning out to be his best one yet, but it also had its shares of lows, including a 25-percent shooting nightmare against his hometown team Dallas at the beginning of the month.

On Friday night, Randle’s most important summer came to the fore as he scored a season-high-tying 44 points to carry the New York Knicks to a 117-109 win over the Mavericks.
