An unfortunate injury doused New York Knicks’ fiery start in a 121-107 season-opening loss to the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night on the road.

The Knicks rode on RJ Barrett’s perfect start to take a 66-61 halftime lead.
The sophomore swingman came out roaring, hitting his first eight shots. He finished with a team-high 26 points, 20 in that fiery first half, in a losing effort.
But it wasn’t just an all-Barrett show as Alec Burks came off the bench to fire 19 of his 22 points while Julius Randle turned into a playmaker with eight assists in the opening half.
