TORONTO — Kristaps Porzingis arrived at his first All-Star Weekend of what could be many. He attended the team meeting Thursday night for the World Team, which will face the America-born squad in Friday night’s Rookie-Sophomore extravaganza.
He won’t be around for the main event Sunday — despite finishing sixth in front-court voting — but it’s a taste. And he was in as hot demand as any player — doing a media circuit that included a swirl of radio and TV interviews.
“I’m looking forward to having fun, and maybe one day coming back as an All-Star,” Porzingis said in one radio interview.
