Today, for just the third time in a quarter-century, the Knicks will have the opportunity to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. After losing both opportunities last year against the Indiana Pacers (who would be the Knicks’ opponents should they win), the Knicks will have three opportunities against the Celtics.
This series has been wild, to say the least. Despite leading for just 24:55 all series (12.65% of the series!), the Knicks are a game away from knocking off the defending champions. They’ve done it off the backs of two 20-point comebacks and a 14-point comeback, completely dominating the Celtics in the fourth quarter to the tune of a plus-32.
