The New York Knicks didn’t play very well on Saturday night in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, and the news didn’t get much better on the injury front. Rookie big man Obi Toppin will miss at least a week with a strained calf.
I’m gonna be honest: That “He will be reevaluated in 7-10 days” jive sounds suspiciously like Obi will be gone for at least 2-3 weeks. Leg muscle strains can be tricky, and the last year you’d want Obi to do is re-injure the calf and miss significant time, so the Knicks would be wise to take it easy with the their rookie.
