New York Knicks Understand Sustainability Is A Process

The New York Knicks don’t have the luxury or blessing of being able to take their time in building a contender. Knicks fans are understandably impatient given the fact that New York hasn’t won the NBA championship since 1973.

Team president Phil Jackson seeks to put an end to the championship drought, but he also understands that building a sustainable contender will take time.

Jackson expedited the process during the summer of 2016 when he revamped the roster. He traded for Derrick Rose, signed Brandon Jennings, Courtney Lee, and Joakim Noah, and hired Jeff Hornacek as head coach.
