Since beginning the 2017-18 NBA regular season at 10-7, the New York Knicks have lost three consecutive games. The third of three losses was one of the worst yet, as the Knicks were run off of their home court by the Portland Trail Blazers.
Following the 103-91 loss to Portland at Madison Square Garden, one of the Knicks’ featured players offered a powerful take on what went wrong.
New York lost by 12, but it trailed by 26 points entering the fourth quarter. The second unit locked in during the final period, but the deficit proved insurmountable as the Knicks were unable to overcome the slow start to the game.
