The New York Knicks have rarely been mentioned as a team with “value” contracts, or salaries that provide the team great production for a below-average price. The player faces the impact, but the team benefits on the salary cap.
Slowly, the Knicks have changed that perception. Through roster reconstruction, they found players who offer superior value for the salary they make, including recent draft picks and free agent acquisitions. This especially came through in some of the roster’s youngest players, providing the organization hope for the future, whether in 2019-20, 2020-21 or beyond.
