New York Knicks: Terry Rozier envisions prospect of joining in free agency

The New York Knicks may have interest in Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier, who went from playoff hero to, expectedly, a bench reserve when Kyrie Irving returned healthy for the 2018-19 season.

Rozier will become a restricted free agent if Boston makes a qualifying offer, meaning they can match any offer sheet the fourth-year man signs.

Post-playoff comments have said otherwise for Rozier’s desire to stay with the Celtics after a season panned for falling below expectations, so it seems he wants to head elsewhere. For the Knicks as a potential landing spot, the Louisville product is into that idea, as he told ESPN’s Jalen and Jacoby:

Rozier “definitely can” see himself playing for the Knicks.
