The New York Knicks have missed the postseason in five consecutive seasons, of which included four head coaches and no year above 40 wins. Instead, the organization found itself in the draft lottery and in a slow rebuild, with young pieces throughout the roster.
The 2018-19 season may result in a similar situation, with low expectations for the team’s chances at the playoffs, even after LeBron James’ departure to the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, New York’s president of basketball operations, Steve Mills, according to Steve Popper of Newsday, preached patience with the team’s plan.
