New York Knicks: Steve Mills explains Tim Hardaway Jr. signing

A surplus of reports surfaced on Thursday, July 6 that Tim Hardaway Jr. signed an offer sheet presented to him by the New York Knicks. The rumored deal was said to be worth $71 million over the span of four seasons.

Two days later, the Knicks officially announced that the Atlanta Hawks would be letting the restricted free agent walk and thus join the Knicks.

Hardaway Jr.’s restricted free agency gave Atlanta the right to match any offer sheet he signed. With Hardaway Jr. now officially back in the orange and blue, Knicks fans are left to ponder what the signing entails.
