The New York Knicks are the worst negotiators in the NBA. Ron Baker‘s crazy contract is the perfect example. New York inexplicably gave him $8.9 million over two years with a player option for the next two seasons.
According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the contract gets even more bizarre. Marks says that the player option gives Baker a one-year bird restriction. Technically, the reserve point guard has a no-trade clause.

The Knicks formally announced the signings multiple players on Tuesday including Baker and second-round pick Damyean Dotson.
