There’s been a new development in the situation between Charles Oakley and the New York Knicks.
According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Oakley rejected a plea deal to have the charges dropped stemming from the February incident at Madison Square Garden.
Instead, Oakley will fight those charges in court. The trial date is set for Aug. 4.
The infamous MSG incident involved Oakley fighting with security guards as he was forcibly removed from the game.
The Knicks legend didn’t have a lot to say after his court appearance.
