Clarence Gaines is an ex-New York Knicks executive and he doesn’t appear to think too highly of Mario Hezonja. Gaines took to Twitter (where he is active and opinionated) to discuss why Hezonja was not heavily involved in the rotation on Saturday against the Boston Celtics.
He tagged Hezonja in the tweet so he was bound to see it and Hezonja could only respond with the crying laughter emoji. This is pretty harmless from both sides. Gaines is free to voice his criticism and Hezonja is free to laugh it off.
While Gaines has a point about Hezonja’s defense being suspect at times, his lack of playing time is a little more complex than that.
