New Yorkers had it all planned out. Kyrie Irving would finish out his contract with the Boston Celtics and then return home to bring a championship back to Madison Square Garden. The New Jersey native is one of the biggest free agent targets in 2019 and at one point he was a potential target for the New York Knicks. Well, he was before he announced that he plans to re-sign with Boston after the season.
With the revelation that Irving doesn’t seem to be considering a return home, it’s unclear how the MSG crowd will welcome Irving to the World’s Most Famous Arena.
