New York Knicks: John Calipari preaches patience with Kevin Knox

The New York Knicks set up 2018-19 as a “developmental” season. President Steve Mills wanted to see youth develop and keep first-round picks, rather than dealing them for win-now veterans, for a team that’s not in a position to contend.

Part of the process features Kevin Knox, the rookie forward from Kentucky. Selected at No. 9 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, he entered the league with high expectations but faced criticism amid inconsistent play, per Marc Berman of The New York Post.

Knox returned with strong performances, but, at 19-years-old, there’s a long way to go.
