New York Knicks: Ja Morant can handle large spotlight, says Murray State coach

The focus is rightfully on the New York Knicks’ chances at the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but they have 86 percent odds to finish between the second and fifth spot at Tuesday’s lottery. This likely removes Zion Williamson from the picture and opens other options.

One of them, Ja Morant, could land in the top three. He broke out as a sophomore at Murray State, leading his school to an NCAA Tournament spot and a likely one of the first names called on June 20.

For whoever the Knicks select in the draft, they have the spotlight of playing in Manhattan, which offers a larger lens than most NBA franchises, sans the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.
