The New York Knicks made a number of intriguing signings during the summer of 2016. Missing the playoffs suggests that said moves were complete and utter failures, but not all of the players brought on board should be discarded after just one season.
One of the contributors whom Knicks fans feel generally positive about is hybrid forward Derrick Williams.
Williams has been the Knicks’ spark plug in 2015-16, coming off of the bench and providing the team with explosive athleticism and infectious energy. He’s averaging 9.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.8 minutes, which translates to per 36 averages of 18.
