New York Knicks: Addressing Kristaps Porzingis’ rebounding woes

It’s nothing short of surprising that 7’3″ power forward Kristaps Porzingis has never averaged more than 7.3 rebounds per game. He reached that during his rookie year, and is averaging a career-low 6.7 rebounds per game this season.

For a player who can block shots that sky as high as the top of the backboard, this may be a cause for concern.

Porzingis currently has a rebound percentage of 11.6—good for a ranking of No. 156 in the NBA. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, a fine player and solid rebounder, averages the same percentage despite being seven inches shorter than Porzingis.
