The way the new system is set up, the top 3 teams have a 14% chance at the top pick. This system does not favor the Knicks. The one year they might have the worst record, they won’t get the first overall pick.
Even if the Knicks end up having in the top 3, they could still fall out of the top 3 as well. The lowest they’ll fall is to the 5th pick and that will be devastating.
