The two-a-days finally got to Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis.
In what is the Knicks biggest fear, the 7-foot-3 first-round pick was sidelined for much of Thursday’s practice because of a sore left knee, missing the 5-on-5 scrimmage on the third day of sessions at West Point’s Christl Arena.
Porzingis said he expects to be back Friday after tweaking his knee during a 5-on-zero halfcourt drill.
“Just for cautious reasons I’m not practicing today, but I’ll be practicing tomorrow,’’ Porzingis said. “Just like from a wrong movement – a little pain, little pinch in the knee.’’
Porzingis said he wouldn’t classify it as a strain.
