Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks are approaching the end of a once glorious era. Anthony is reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause to join a contender, and New York is actively pursuing the possibility of a deal that would send the 10-time All-Star elsewhere.
Although the recent signing of Tim Hardaway Jr. will bring one of Anthony’s friends back to New York, that hasn’t changed the front office’s vision.
Anthony has been a member of the Knicks since 2010-11, when New York traded its young core to acquire him. The past four years haven’t been quite as rewarding as his first three, however, which has resulted in the current predicament.
