According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the New York Knicks are interested in acquiring Portland Trail Blazers swingman Maurice Harkless. Harkless is a 6’9” and 220-pound wing who has seen his development and production as a player heightened in recent seasons.
This past season, he was given a career-high in 28.9 minutes averaged per game and produced 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 3-point field goals made per game.
Per Begley, Harkless could be the player whom Portland reluctantly parts ways with in its attempts to alleviate pressure from the luxury tax.
