Knicks’ season at MSG finished off in truly fitting fashion

The Knicks are done at the Garden for the season, with Toronto’s free-agent-to-be DeMar DeRozan applying the finishing touches — symbolic of what the Knicks need to add this July.

DeRozan scored 27 points with four assists, making 12-of-17 shots as the Raptors held off a late Knicks charge to pull out a 93-89 victory Sunday, keeping the Knicks (32-49) potentially headed for a 50-loss season.

With the game tied at 86 with 1:05 left, DeRozan completed a three-point play, snaking to the basket, splitting two Knicks defenders for a layup and drawing the foul. Ballgame.

Carmelo Anthony sat the fourth quarter after scoring 21 points in 25 minutes in what could be his final home game as a Knick, however unlikely.
