Knicks Rumors: New York reached out to free agent Rajon Rondo

The New York Knicks have committed to making Frank Ntilikina the point guard of the future. Phil Jackson may be out, but general manager Steve Mills was in office when New York selected Ntilikina at No. 8 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.

As the Knicks search for players who could serve as a mentor to Ntilikina, a former NBA champion has surfaced as an option.

New York’s point guard depth currently consists of Ntilikina, Chasson Randle, and combo guard Ron Baker. It may also sign second-round draft pick Ognjen Jaramaz to further pad the depth chart and embrace the youth movement.
