The New York Knicks are preparing for an offseason that could either complete the formation of Phil Jackson’s vision or set the organization back dramatically. The key to that process will be the decisions made about point guards Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings.
With both Rose and Jennings approaching free agency, it stands to reason that New York could have trouble bringing both players back.
Both Jennings and Rose are having strong showings during the 2016-17 NBA regular season. That’s rewarding for the Knicks in the short-term, but it could prove problematic when contract negotiations begin.
According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the Knicks have expressed interest in point guard Jrue Holiday in the past and could do so again in free agency.
