The New York Knicks have provided fans with a painful number of reasons for pessimism over the past 20 years. The latest in the long line of questionable decisions arrived in February of 2019, when New York traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks.
A recent report states that the Porzingis trade, as well as the underwhelming short-term return, proved to be the undoing of former team president Steve Mills.
Mills has worked in the NBA since 1984, with his start coming as an account executive for the Association itself. He’d been with the Knicks since 2003, initially receiving the position of COO of Madison Square Garden itself.
