You’ve got to love Obi Toppin’s honesty.
Toppin, less than an hour removed from his biggest game as a Knick, admitted to reporters Wednesday night that he just didn’t have the right mindset at the start of his NBA career last year. The eighth pick overall in the 2020 draft, Toppin apparently was just overwhelmed by the magnitude of it all at the start of his rookie season.
