The Knicks made plenty of news Thursday afternoon, with a meeting with star Kristaps Porzingis evolving into a multi-player trade with the Mavericks in the span of a few hours.
The reported trade involves Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee and Trey Burke going to Dallas for Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and Wes Matthews, with draft picks being included, as well.
Reactions to the mega-deal were swift throughout the NBA landscape, as the Knicks dealt the face of the franchise for, essentially, Smith, cap space and a draft pick. Joel Embiid did not seem to like the Knicks’ haul.
