The Knicks may get to see their biggest free-agent addition of the offseason in red, white and blue before he’s in orange, white and blue.
Julius Randle has been added to USA Basketball’s training camp roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, The Athletic reported Tuesday.
Several top players have withdrawn from the roster in recent days, giving Randle a shot to make the team that will try to defend its back-to-back titles. The tournament runs Aug. 31-Sept. 15 in China.
Randle previously represented the U.S. in tournament play as part of the 2012 gold-medal team at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship.
