Mike Miller understandably had what he described as “a day” over the previous 24 hours.
Imagine what kind of day it would have been if the new interim coach of the Knicks had been able to pull off his first NBA victory.
In his first game after being elevated to replace the fired David Fizdale, Miller and the Knicks lost a crusher to Indiana, with Julius Randle missing a free throw with one-tenth of a second remaining in a 104-103 loss at the Garden on Saturday.
“That was a great game to watch, the effort was incredible,” Miller said after the Knicks lost their ninth straight game to fall to 4-19.
