Knicks’ bench is turning into a strength

The Knicks’ bench has earned some praise.

In the past eight games, Knicks subs have outscored the opposition by more than 100 points — 358 to 248, or 44.75 to 31.0 points per game. Those bench players have featured a starter, Tim Hardaway Jr., for a couple of games, sometime starter Michael Beasley as an offensive force, with Doug McDermott, Kyle O’Quinn and Frank Ntilikina also making an impact.

“Our starters play a lot of minutes,” coach Jeff Hornacek said. “Any time we can get where we can keep our bench in there and play some big minutes, hey, that’s great for us.
